Feb 2024 At AUTM 2024 Annual Meeting. AUTM is the non-profit leader in efforts to educate, promote and inspire professionals to support the development of academic research that changes the world and drives innovation forward.

Oct 2023 Two papers presented by on “Exploration of innovative spaces that enable communication and collaboration and “Infrastructural elements to foster collaboration in engineering at the ” IEEE Frontiers in Education Conference, College Station, TX, October 18–21, 2023.

Jun 2023 Paper presented by student Katrina Robertson on Fostering Educational Equity at the ASEE Annual Conference in Baltimore, MD.

Apr 2023 I'm glad to be awarded the Faculty Innovative Research in Science and Technology program award for the academic year 2023-2024. This is for my proposal on “Promoting capacity building in the regional innovation ecosystem: A prototype of a visualization tool."

Apr 2023 Re-elected for a second term to serve on the Institutional Effectiveness Committee (IEC) of the Faculty Senate for a second year.

Feb 2023 Congratulations to students Eli Martin, Angeline Masongsong, Gabriel Novak, Alexia Richmond, and Trey Talko on receiving the Undergraduate Research Institute (URI) Award - Ignite for Spring 2023 to study "Innovative Spaces" and to develop, administer and validate a survey instrument to help us understand how to set the stage for creative collaboration.

Jan 2023 Wellness has been a passion topic of mine, ever since I was a representative of the engineering graduate students with the Graduate and Professional Students Association (GPSA) at ASU. Glad to be nominated to serve as a Wellness Ambassador at the ERAU's Prescott Campus.

Oct 2022 Great to "come back" with recent alumni and share with colleagues from the Engineering Education Systems and Design (EESD) program at ASU my journey after graduation.

Sep 2022 Invited to shared my thoughts about Graduate School 101 with interested students from the ERAU Prescott Campus. The event was jointly organized by the Career Services Office on Prescott and the Office of Prestigious Awards and Fellowships in the Daytona Beach Campus.

Sep 2022 Nominated to serve on the action committee for Embry-Riddle's new strategic plan (2023-2028): Goal 3 Faculty and Academic Excellence.

Sep 2022 Ongoing collaboration on NSF Engines: Type-1: Arizona Advanced Mobility Economic Engine (AAMEE) with colleagues and partners from across the State and the Science Foundation, Arizona. Collectively we will work together to design activities that will enhance innovation and economic competitiveness within the Sun Corridor region. Key areas of focus will include use-inspired research, workforce development best practices, and a robust startup-entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Jun 2022 I got to spend great time with the University Innovation Fellows program at the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design (d.school) at Stanford.

Jan 2022 Consider submitting a paper on Competencies for Industry 4.0 and Learning Factories during the upcoming ASME's International Mechanical Engineering Congress & Exposition (IMECE). Due date is March 15, 2022.

Dec 2021 In press: My book chapter with Dr. Ann McKenna on Reopening campuses: Visualizing the structure of a system problem. The chapter appears in the open access, edited volume by Springer on "Global Perspectives on Educational Innovations for Emergency Situations."

Nov 2021 Presented at the 2021 ASME's Conference, The International Mechanical Engineering Congress and Exposition (IMECE): an effort to integrate a deeper understanding of the coupling between technology, society and the future.

Oct 2021 Presented at the 2021 Frontiers in Education (FIE) Conference, Envisioning Convergence in Engineering Education: Typology of content for case studies for designing the future.

Jul 2021 At the 2021 ASEE Annual Conference, July 26-29, will be presenting the Design for Future Activities (DFA) framework. Dr. Andrew Maynard and I propose an effective, innovative framework for developing content for design activities that address the challenges of the future where emerging technologies play a central role.
